【2022年入学用 Deadline】U. of Pennsylvania, Wharton School

Wharton Schoolの出願締め切り日が発表されました。

    To be considered for a round, you must submit a completed application by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on the day of the deadline. If you submit your application after the deadline for Rounds 1 or 2, it will be rolled into the next round. If you submit your application after the deadline for Round 3, it will not be accepted.

■ English Language Test
昨シーズンと同様に2021-22年シーズンにおきましても、出願時にはTOEFLもしくはPTEスコアを使用することになります。

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) is required for non-native English speakers with limited exposure to English. All international applicants whose native language (language first learned and spoken at home) is not English, or who did not complete a degree from an institution where English was the language of instruction, are required to take the TOEFL or PTE. If you earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an institution at which English is the language of instruction, the test may be waived.

本日の時点ではエッセイ課題に関する更新はされておりませんでした。

新旧交代の季節

皆様、こんにちは。Affinity英語学院の佐取です。

昨日 (5/2)は2か月ぶりにMBA出願準備セミナーをZoomにて開催いたしました。おかげさまで、多くのアプリカントの方々にご参加いただくことができました。ご参加いただいた皆様、お休みにも関わらずご参加くださりありがとうございました！

そして当日のセミナーでは、本日の”題名”にも記した「新旧交代の時期」と称し、MBA受験における5月の意味合いについて少しお話しをいたしました。

2020年秋入学を目指すアプリカントの中には5月中旬から末日にかけての審査結果をもとに、進学先を決める方々もいらっしゃいます。その一方で当月から来月にかけては、2022年の出願情報（エッセイ課題、締め切り日等）が各校より発表されます。そうした情報を受け、この時期に出願スケジュール（テストの主な受験時期も含む）を作成してみませんか？こうした作業を行うことでで、これから先自分がやらなければならないことが整理されてくると思います。

出願書類を作成する時間に関しては個人差が生じるため、”50時間や100時間”といったように断定的にお伝えすることは望ましくないと思います。しかしながら、年明け（1月）のセカンドラウンドで4-5校へ出願するのであれば、9月からは本格的に準備を開始したとしても決して遅すぎることはありません。まずは取り組んでみて欲しいことをリストアップしてみます。

・自己分析作業
・出願候補となるスクールの調査
・スクール関係者とのコンタクト及び面談
・説明会への参加と活用法を考える
・MBA教育に関する理解度を深める
・MBA取得後のキャリアパス（短期・中期・長期のキャリア目標）
・私費の方は転職市場調査：転職に際してMBAが必要か否か？
・推薦者の候補者探し

Standardized Test Waiver Request：University of Virginia, Darden School

Full-time MBA Standardized Test Waiver Request

As a pilot for our 2020-2021 application cycle (i.e. Class of 2023), we are pleased to announce a standardized test waiver.

If you are applying in Round 3 for our class starting this August (i.e. Class of 2022), this waiver request process does NOT apply, and you should submit a standardized test score – GMAT, GRE, MCAT, LSAT, ACT, SAT – with your application materials.

Waiver requests for the 2020-2021 application cycle will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and our Admissions Committee will consider a number of factors when evaluating these requests. Particular regard will be given for indicators of academic and professional accomplishment, including but not limited to:

  • A strong undergraduate and/or graduate record including performance in analytical coursework or disciplines
  • CPA or CFA designation or other professional certification/discipline
  • Master’s or advanced degree in an analytical discipline
  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive, professional work experience in an analytical field
  • Strong performance on a U.S. college admissions test (SAT and/or ACT) or a national exam administered for admission to bachelor’s study in other countries

These factors will be considered in combination with resume and transcripts for all degree-related coursework. Candidates who present a strong profile across several criteria (including supporting materials) are more likely to be granted a test waiver than candidates who meet only one criterion. We recommend revewing our Standardized Test FAQs before submitting your waiver request.

To be considered for a waiver of our standardized test requirement, please complete the required fields and upload the appropriate documentation when prompted.

7月も後半に差し掛かってきました。これから先は出願候補先の情報も定期的にチェックするなど、テスト対策と出願対策の準備を並行させながら進めていきましょう。
