NYU Stern calls IQ+EQ a core value of the school, and it seeks exceptional individuals who possess both intellectual and interpersonal strengths. Emotional intelligence (EQ) skills such as self-awareness, empathy, communication and self-management are at the core of our community of leaders.
EQ Endorsement Questions:

3. Describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant. Please detail the circumstances and the applicant’s response.
4. IQ+EQ is a core value of NYU Stern, and we seek exceptional individuals who possess both intellectual and interpersonal strengths. Emotional intelligence (EQ) skills such as self-awareness, empathy, communication and self-management are at the core of our community of leaders. As Associate Dean of MBA Admissions Isser Gallogly has said, “We believe these changes will help applicants more effectively communicate to the committee who they are as a person, which programs best suit their goals and how they demonstrate EQ. Additionally, these changes are much more in keeping with the ‘social media’ style of communication of today’s applicant.”
Gallogly added, “Applicants communicate with much more than words these days and visual elements now play a dominant role.”

入学者の平均スコアやminimim scoreといった情報に目線が映りがちですが、出願要綱欄のGMAT & GRE Policyにも注意を払っていきましょう。以下、New York Sternの例です。
http://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admissions/mba-programs/admissions/standardized-tests
Stern has no preference for the GMAT or GRE, feel free to take either test.
Scores are valid for five years from the date that you took the test and must be valid at the time that you submit your application. You are responsible for including your test score on the online application and ensuring that Pearson VUE or ETS is able to release and send your official score report to NYU Stern. While an official test score is required for a final decision, the Admissions Committee can begin the review of your application with an unofficial test score.
If you plan to retake the GMAT or GRE after applying, you must inform the Admissions Committee of the date you intend to take the test in the optional essay or via email to admchair@stern.nyu.edu. The Admissions Committee will proceed with the evaluation of your application using your submitted score and may issue a decision prior to receiving additional test scores.
>>>締切日が差し迫ってくると、「スコアの差し替え」に関する相談を受けることが増えます。テストスコアの差し替えに関して、上述の通りNYUは(例年)明確なスタンスで受験生に対応しています。
Admitted students with Writing Assessment scores below 4.0 on either test with their highest total score will be required to take an additional business writing course prior to the start of classes.
NYU Stern has no minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement. For applicants who took the test more than once, the Admissions Committee will consider only the test with the highest total score.
