MBAアプリカントの方々の中には、1st Round出願締め切り日を控え、最後の追い込み作業に注力する方々もいらっしゃいます。間もなく9月を迎えますが、本日はLL.M.出願に関して、University of California, Berkeley Law School (LL.M. Traditional Track Application用）のApplication Instructionsを使い、LL.M.出願プロセスについて考えていきたいと思います。

★締め切り日：2023年12月18日（現地 Pacific Time)
Berkeleyに限らず、出願書類を提出し終えると、各校から（書類の）受領を知らせるメールが配信されます。何らかの手違いでメールボックスの『ゴミ箱』に転送されてしまう可能性もご注意ください。
The majority of applicants will receive their decision by e-mail in early March.tと発表しておりますので、一部の学校が採用しているRolling Admissions Cycleではありません。
There are five major steps in order to submit your online application form:
1) Read these instructions thoroughly and check the box to indicate you have read them.
⇒これはBerkeleyへの出願時のみに行う手順はなく、他校へ出願する際も同様の手順を踏んでください。
2) Answer the application questions and save your answers.
⇒ the application questionsは一部の学校を除いて、各校のapplication questions（これらquestionsの数は学校によって異なりますが、通常は15個前後のquestionsが用意されています。questionsの1つにC.V. (レジュメ), Personal Statement (エッセイ）といった各question項目が含まれます）へアクセスするためには、Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) のサイトで名前等を登録し、個人アカウントを開設してください。

3) Upload your Personal Statement and C.V. to the Attachments section.
⇒ Personal Statement (エッセイ）とC.V. (レジュメ）を提出する際は、上述のLSACからアクセスするBerkeleyアプリケーションフォームサイトから別々にアップロードします。
4) Preview your application pdf to confirm that all information is correct.
⇒全てのquestionsに対して入力した内容を（提出前に）ご確認いただけます。その際に（確認しやすいよう）PDFフォーマットに変換することができます。
5) Pay the $80 application fee
⇒受験料（審査料）になりますので、支払いは前もってお済ませになってください。
LLM Credential Assembly Service（CAS)
LSACが運営する出願サービスです。各アプリカントがLSACへ提出するi) 大学以降の教育機関の成績表、ii) IELTS/tOEFLスコア、iii) 推薦状を取りまとめ、入学審査を行う際に各校の審査官がアプリカントのLSAC Numberと照合し、上記i)～iii)の資料へアクセスする仕組みになっています。
そうした、出願書類をとりまとめるCASには下記３つのサービス内容が含まれます。LSACのアカウントを取得しましたら、下記のサービスにお申し込みください。
• Electronic Application Service – Berkeley Law requires use of the Electronic Application Service ($39USD), which allows you to transmit your application online.
• Document Assembly Service – Berkeley Law requires use of the Document Assembly Service ($55USD plus $34USD report fee), through which LSAC will collect transcripts, letters of recommendation, and English proficiency exam score(s) and distribute them to the law schools of your choice. This service does not include authentication or evaluation of
transcripts.
• International Transcript Authentication and Evaluation Service ($140USD in addition to the above fees) – This service is highly recommended but not required for applicants educated outside the US, and includes authentication and evaluation of transcripts, degrees/diplomas graduation certificates, and rank statements.
We strongly advise applicants to register for the LLM Credential Assembly Service and submit their materials well in advance of the application deadline. LSAC recommends applicants register four to six weeks before their first application deadline.
