【LL.M. Program Application Deadlines for Fall 2014】: Yale University

Yale Universityから出願締切日が発表されました。

◆ 2013年12月1日
You must have received, or expect to receive, by the summer of 2014, a juris doctor degree or bachelor’s degree in law. All offers of admission are conditional upon graduation. Applications are accepted from August 1 through December 1, 2013. The December 1 deadline should be understood as the date by which all documents that applicants are required to submit must be received by LSAC. We require all applicants to the LL.M. program to submit their applications online through the Law School Admission Council’s electronic application  (available August 1 and to be submitted no later than midnight on December 1, 2013, U.S. Eastern Standard Time).

All prospective students who received their first law degree outside of the United States, whether interested in full-time or part-time study, must apply and submit all required materials by December 16 to begin studies in the Fall 2014 semester (August).

For planning purposes (interviews, visas, etc.), we strongly encourage international applicants to apply by the November 15th deadline.

Applicants who are invited to interview will receive a decision within three weeks of the interview date.  All decisions will be announced by early April 2014.

Stanford MSx Program（旧Sloan Program)のエッセイ課題が発表されました。その他の出願書類要綱も合わせて、確認しておきましょう。

本日は前回に続き、上記テーマに関する話を進めていきたいと思います。

【2013年8月のテーマ】

◆TOEFL対策（継続/セクション別強化）
⇒ 目標スコアとのギャップを確認
⇒ 学習対策方法の検討（必要に応じて）

◆出願書類対策
⇒ 大学、大学時代の指導教授で推薦者候補の方々とコンタクトを開始する
⇒ Resumeを完成させる
⇒ 中旬以降からはStatement of Purpose/Personal Statementの作成へと移る
⇒ 推薦状者（大学時代/院の指導教授）へコンタクトし、作成協力を依頼する
⇒ 推薦状に盛り込む内容を文章にて纏める
⇒ 推薦者とのブレーンストーミング
⇒ 推薦状作成までのスケジュールを策定
⇒ 成績表の英訳を出身大学（院）より取り寄せる
⇒LSAC (Law School Assembly Service)のアカウントを取得する

★ワンポイントアドバイス：
ColumbiaやHarvard Law Schoolのように複数の締切日を設定している ケースは、現状スコアや今後の伸びシロを含め、自らの出願時期を（例：Early RoundかRegular Round）決めていきましょう。そして、そろそろ年末から年明けまでの出願スケジュールを明確に策定していく時期に差し掛かってきています。
