http://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/news/articles/tuck-announces-exec-director-mba-admissions-financial-aid-luke-anthony-pena

Tuck is unparalleled in its commitment to creating and cultivating a distinctly immersive, intimate, and collaborative environment for leadership development,” said Peña. “As a community builder, you dream of partnering with alumni, students, staff, and faculty who invest in supporting and challenging one another, and in advancing Tuck’s mission to better the world of business. I am enthusiastically looking forward to deepening relationships with current and future members of this community.”

“Integrity in all endeavors, teamwork that reaches beyond oneself in a supportive community, and a time-honored belief that the highest-quality learning comes from connecting amazing students with leading scholars. Around the world, people recognize these values as the foundation of Tuck’s success.” – Dean Matthew J. Slaughter

Please respond fully but concisely to the following essay questions. There are no right or wrong answers. We encourage applicants to limit the length of their responses to 500 to 700 words for Essay #1 and 500 words for Essay #2. Please double-space your responses.

  1. (Required) Tuck educates wise leaders who better the world of business. What are your short- and long-term goals? How will a Tuck MBA enable you to become a wise leader with global impact? (Note: This is the revised version of Essay #1 posted on July 11, 2016.)
  2. (Required) As a diverse and global community, our students arrive at the same place from many different paths.  Tell us about an experience in which you have had to live, learn and/or work with other people very different from yourself.  What challenges and/or opportunities did you experience, how did you respond, and what did you learn about yourself as a result?
  3. (Optional) Please provide any additional insight or information that you have not addressed elsewhere that may be helpful in reviewing your application (e.g., unusual choice of evaluators, weaknesses in academic performance, unexplained job gaps or changes, etc.). MBA Application : The Final Round

http://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/mba/blog/should-you-apply-round-3-maybe

The most compelling third round candidates show conviction, which includes a candidate’s openness with the process and genuine interest in our program. While they do not have to explain why they are choosing the final round, it is human nature for the reader to wonder why. Sometimes applicants don’t come to the process until a professional experience turns on a lightbulb. Maybe they met an MBA in their travels and got inspired, or perhaps they had a personal situation that derailed their Round 2 plans. As is often the case with the admissions committee, it is far better that you don’t leave us guessing!

Bottom line, it’s always best to apply with the strongest application possible, whether that means shooting for Early Action or April. Tuck doesn’t designate a specific number of offers to each round, but rather bases offers on the quality and quantity of the applicant pool – a strong application will stand out regardless of round.
